“Delicate Lessons” written by Jim Brosseau, is the story of a year in the life of lead character Michael Tagg. A hard-nosed magazine editor, Michael embarks on a quest for love that takes him instead on a challenging journey of self-revelation. Set in New York City, the show has nine characters and includes 14 songs.
This performance is a staged reading.
“I’ve been a theater volunteer for nearly three years, and it’s gratifying that The Provincetown Theater has been home to my show,” said Brosseau, a musician and journalist who moved from New York to Provincetown in 2010. “We were overjoyed with the turnout for the songs of ‘Delicate Lessons’ and are eager to stage the readings with a full cast.”
Members of the cast for the August readings, in alphabetical order, are Dian Hamilton, Chev Hardy, Spencer Keasey, Jack Kelly, Phoebe Otis, Doug Repetti, Bragan Thomas, Todd Wagar and Mark Weinress. Brosseau will accompany the performers on piano. “I am delighted with the depth of hometown talent and honored that this outstanding team of actors and singers will bring the musical to life,” said Brosseau.
