This Week at the Theater: NORA BURNS & PROVINCETOWN DANCE FESTIVAL

THE 4-STAR SOLO SHOW Festival continues this week on June 19th & 20th with comedienne Nora Burns in her NY Times Critic’s Pick one-woman show, “David’s Friend.” Not to be missed, come see this beloved P’town performer whose appearances with the comedy troupes Unitard and the Nellie Olesons have kept Outer Cape audiences dazzled with laughter for many a summer moon.

WE ARE THRILLED to present this year’s 13th annual Provincetown Dance Festival on Friday & Saturday, June 22nd & 23rd at 7:30pm. This season, founder Adam Miller’s explosion of diversity includes 7 dance companies (or solo artists) that “are special in so many ways,” he says. “Perhaps most exciting to me is that we’ll be introducing five different artists in Provincetown for the first time.” These include the dazzling young tap dancer Orlando Hernandes, the classical Indian artist, Mouli Pal, and the newly reinvigorated City Ballet Boston company. Returning this year is audience favorite CaseClosed!, a youth oriented dance troupe directed by Sokeo Ros — who mentors and collaborates to realize works that fuse his Cambodian cultural roots with hip-hop and contemporary dance.
