How much of an activist are you? After receiving this text message from his immigration attorney brother, a Writer finds himself haunted by a very persistent and troubling ghost. Before long, the Writer finds himself on a journey back to his hometown of Lumpkin, Georgia… now the home of Stewart County Immigration Detention Center. As he talks to those trapped in the prison – literally and figuratively – the ghost makes a simple but incredibly hard request—to see.
Lee is an Atlanta-based actor and playwright. As an actor, he has appeared Off-Broadway, on stages across the country, and on TV in shows including True Detective, The Resident, Your Honor, and NBC’s Found. As a playwright, his work has been produced by Actor’s Express, Savannah Rep, Out of Hand, Open Space Arts in Chicago, and the Eugene O’Neill Festival in the Bay Area, and developed through the Alliance Theatre, the Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Working Title Playwrights, and Theatrical Outfit. He is a 2026 MacDowell Fellow.

Marty Miller is a Brooklyn based comedian, actor, and writer. He can found performing regularly on the UCB MainStage in NYC or touring his deranged, comedic variety show “COMPLETELY, GIRL” with his comedy partner Missy McIntosh. Accompanying his live performances, Marty has also recently amassed a large following across social platforms – spreading belly laughs and positively with original characters and content. He is also the greatest waitress in the world.

Jon Gentry (he/they) is a dramatist and performing artist whose credits span theater, film, television, and gaming. Born and raised in Houston, Jon infuses his art with a tri-coastal (East, West, and Gulf) perspective on Black queerness in America. His award-winning solo show “Black Bastard” has been presented at the Hollywood Fringe Festival, Santa Monica Playhouse, PlayGround Solofest, Whitefire Solofest, Out Front Theatre, and the LA LGBT Center.
From Reading Rainbow to Reading the House Down, “Black Bastard” transports audiences to 1990s Houston in a humorous, heartfelt coming-of-age tale. Jon, an inquisitive Black boy, develops a love for literature until his family fractures, thrusting him into the role of “man of the house.” He begins to search for his absent father, but is he ready for what he may find? Vividly portraying more than 15 characters, writer/performer Jon Gentry weaves literature, 90s nostalgia, and personal history into a ceremony of becoming. Winner of the Hollywood Fringe Social Impact Award and Pride of Lavender Fest, it’s been called “a must-see for anyone seeking a heartfelt, thought-provoking theatrical experience.”

When comedian Megan Gogerty loses her charming, unreliable, alcoholic father, she unearths evidence of her family’s ancestral ties to the founding of the state of Iowa. Were they hearty immigrants making a new life on the frontier? Or a collection of self-satisfied boot-strappers complicit in destruction and erasure? (Why choose?) As she examines Iowa’s past, she lays bare the secrets that haunt her and her sisters. What do we do with our problematic relatives? With our problematic history? We tell the truth.
Megan Gogerty is an award-winning playwright and comedian based in Iowa City. Her work has been produced internationally (Edinburgh Fringe, Foro Lucerna del Teatro Milan) and across the country. In 2026, see Megan’s work in New York City (The RAT NYC), Minneapolis (Walking Shadow Theatre), Ithaca (Kitchen Theatre), Laramie (Relative Theatrics), with several scripts available through Original Works Publishing. She earned her MFA in playwriting from the University of Texas at Austin and currently teaches at the University of Iowa Playwrights Workshop.
